I attended Sacred Heart Apostolic School for my ninth grade year. I visited it numerous time prior and have gone back numerous times since I left. I have nothing but respect for the priests and brothers who lead the formation. The boys there are doing their best to follow God's will in their lives. There is nothing cultish about the school (I have been out of it for 6 years). Those who say otherwise have had skewed impressions from their sons of others. The formation received at Sacred Heart is impeccable. As stated above, you do study 3 foreign languages (Spanish, Latin and Ancient Greek). You are also schooled in the various other disciplines typical for high school education, but with an emphasis on a catholic mentality. I transferred to a high school in my home town and am now attending a university, studying electrical engineering. I found that Sacred Heart prepared me well for life either pursuing a call to the priesthood within the Legion, or living an integrated Catholic life outside of the Legion. I am very grateful to Sacred Heart and the Legion for the year of formation and the opportunity for growth it provided.
Do NOT send your boys to Sacred Heart Apostolic School. It is a place where boys are brainwashed. I would hope that parents seriously reconsider sending their children here. It is a common practice to listen to students' phone calls with their parents, unknown to either. Also, it is common to have strategy sessions about how to manipulate parents and hide the truth from them about many things, such as illness or a student's unhappiness or other problems. The whole thing is diabolical.
Our son is in his second year at the school and it has been a phenomenal experience for both him and us. Sacred Heart is building him into a leader for the church, whether that is someday as a priest or a layman.
All you need todo is a small bit of research into the founder Fr Marcial Maciel to know the twisted mind that continues to guide the mind and hands of those running this and all Legionary facilities. Choose another private school perhaps and let the boys decide if they want to be a priest when they are grown a bit more. Do your due diligence as a parent for heav ens sake before sending / allowing your child to go here.
Beautiful place for young men to know the true value of themselves and the love of God. This is a school for young men open to Catholic priesthood. A very peaceful and joyful place. Heaven on Earth.
